»¨¶ùÖ±²¥ Celebrates Scholarly and Creative Works at Annual Conference

»¨¶ùÖ±²¥â€™s 9th annual was held April 17 from 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. The conference showcased undergraduate and graduate students’ research papers and posters, creative writing, artwork, dance, and music performances.

President Nicola Pitchford opened the conference at 9:30 a.m. , Professor of Biology and Chair of the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, delivered the keynote address at 9:45 a.m. in Guzman Lecture Hall.

Music, a student panel, and a free lunch was held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Meadowlands »¨¶ùÖ±²¥n.

Creating signature work and presenting it to an audience is part of every student’s »¨¶ùÖ±²¥ Experience. It deepens learning and underlines the value of their work. 

SCW was open to all members of the University and the greater community. The conference was sponsored by Academic Affairs and La Vida »¨¶ùÖ±²¥. Conference co-organizers are Dr. Bill Phillips, Professor of Psychology, and Christina Mayes, Digital Portfolio Specialist and Integrative Coach in the Student Success Center.
